Abstract

Blind channel identification of MIMO FIR channels driven by multiple unknown sources is a non-unique problem. Ambiguity in channel solution associated with each source can be removed by the use of constraint. Effect of constraint on the optimum channel estimation accuracy is investigated, for two specific constraints: the linear and the quadratic constraints. Under certain circumstances, the quadratic-constrained CRB is no greater than the linear-constrained one.
