Research output: Chapter in Book / Conference PaperChapter

    Abstract

This chapter investigates the continuity of learning and transitions for children between their home and the educational settings they attend, especially in relation to literacy. We draw on projects researching educator understandings of communication, partnerships and effective literacy practices, particularly in relation to continuity from home and in and between educational settings. Continuity supports children’s wellbeing, inclusion and successful ways of learning which contribute to their sense of belonging, being and becoming (DEEWR 2009).
