Abstract

The authors regret that an error occurred in the section ‘7. Part E & F: athletic injury or possible adaptation’. The following text “Although the quantification of cumulative load may hold value for practitioners and researchers alike, utilization of cumulative load as a surrogate for injury risk is flawed as the relationship between cumulative load and cumulative damage is non-linear, an important concept highly emphasized by Edwards.1” Should read “Although the quantification of cumulative load may hold value for practitioners and researchers alike, utilization of cumulative load as a surrogate for injury risk is flawed as there is no clearly definable relationship between cumulative load and cumulative damage, an important concept highly emphasized by Edwards.1” The authors apologise for any inconvenience caused.
