Abstract

Reinforced concrete arch bridges represent iconic and enduring engi- neering marvels that often stand the test of time. However, their long-term dura- bility faces an increasing threat from the insidious process of corrosion. This re- view paper offers a comprehensive analysis of the corrosion's effects on rein- forced concrete arch bridges. It explores corrosion mechanisms, their implica- tions for structural integrity, assessment techniques, mitigation strategies, and re- cent research advancements.
