Abstract
Sonographers are highly trained health professionals who acquire, measure and give an initial interpretation of ultrasound (US) images. Their education includes the development, acquisition and adoption of diverse skills, in-depth knowledge and sonography specific attitudes. However, a growing number of medical and health professionals other than sonographers, with different skills, knowledge and attitudes now use US in the clinical setting. Thus, a literature review of curriculum design and educational approaches for sonographers and non-sonographers was conducted.
