Abstract
The ethics and practicalities of opening up public records that contain both sensitive and potentially embarrassing personal information are explored. These records can provide support for the general goal of rebuilding Aboriginal community and culture in a way consistent with recommendation 53 of the Royal Commission into Aboriginal Deaths in Custody report.
