Abstract
This paper considers defect chemistry models of La1-xSr xCoO3-δ, such as random defect model and the cluster defect model. These models are considered in terms of defect equilibria with respect to (i) the formation of oxygen vacancies, (ii) intrinsic electronic ionisation and (iii) the formation of defect clusters. The defect models are derived using the available data of nonstoichio-metry for the LSC materials.
