Deliberate firesetting : an overview

Rebekah M. Doley, Geoffrey L. Dickens, Theresa A. Gannon

Research output: Chapter in Book / Conference PaperChapter

Abstract

![CDATA[Introduction: Firesetting is under-researched in comparison with other destructive human behaviours such as violence and sexual offending (Dickens, Doley & Gannon, see Chapter 19, this volume). The relative immaturity of this field of enquiry may reflect a lack of common understanding around definitions and terminology. It is therefore important at the outset to clarify our position by explaining the terms used in this volume. Where individual chapter authors differ from us in their use of terminology, their own definitions and terms of reference are outlined in their introductory paragraphs.]]
