Design and performance of switched reluctance motors

Abstract

This paper deals with the design of switched reluctance motors (SRM). The effects of different parameters on the design are investigated. Finite Element method is used to predict design and performance parameters. Useful conclusions are drawn as to optimum configurations for switched reluctance motors.
