    Abstract

Lots of people in our society are getting older. Technology can play a vital role to help these older adults in various ways such as providing accessible technology and enjoyable platforms to them. Games provide useful means for older adults to alleviate social isolation and to engage with peers. In this chapter we would like to share our experience from multiple design projects that we developed over few years. These projects deal with designing social games for older adults by using tangible and tabletop technology. We will claborate these design projects with user experience evaluations. Finally, we present methodological lessons with key design guidelines for designing with and for older adults.
