Abstract
![CDATA[In this essay a particular type of pedagogic- process is examined-primary or elementary education-in which the pedagogic relation is that of teacher and students. Drawing on key figures in the literature of child development - Donald Winnicon, Daniel Stern, and Lev Vygotsky - this essay will consider the ways affect is accumulated within this context and has an enabling effect for both teachers and students. As such, it addresses issues of both affect and pedagogic theory as each provides a useful mechanism for exploring the other.]]
