Abstract
As of 2024, the average internet user worldwide spends 6 hours and 36 minutes online each day. In the United States, that number climbs to over 7 hours—almost a full workday dedicated to screens [1] . Globally, people spend an average of 2.3 hours daily on social media alone. But these numbers tell only part of the story, especially when considering ethnically diverse communities and diasporas.
