Abstract
This essay discusses sport in childhood, and premature sports specialisation. It is argued that sports should be considered a human right, and that this right has been stolen and debased in children who undergo intensive training without reaching the goals that would be appropriate to their age. Thus, the text focuses on conceptual, methodological, scientific and philosophical ideas related to competitive sport for children and adolescents in relation to human rights of children and young people in our society.
