Abstract
Coalface was an exhibition at Wattspace, Newcastle that ran from 23rd September until 16th October, which featured the work of Michael Chapman, Tim Burke, Sarah Jozefiak, Derren Lowe and Chris Tucker. The exhibition explored the relationship between geology, coal and the urban phenonomen of Newcastle. It was undertaken during Covid, with restrictions on social distancing and hygiene.
