Research output: Chapter in Book / Conference PaperChapter

Abstract

In this chapter, we introduced briefly different molecular imaging modalities (such as positron emission tomography (PET), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT)) and explain (1) what their advantages and disadvantages are, (2) why it is important to have dual contrast agents, and (3) the limitation of having dual-modality system. Finally, we have collected the whole English written papers that used PET/MRI or SPECT/MRI contrast agents during 2008 until the end of 2015 and evaluated briefly their tumor uptakes and their physical characteristics.
