Abstract

Antiplane response of the nonhomogeneous composite material containing some cracks subjected to dynamic loadings has been analyzed. The complete solution of entire elastic region was obtained through introducing the mechanical boundary and strip interface conditions. Attention is focused on time dependent full field solutions of stresses, stress intensity factor and strain energy release rate. The dynamic stress intensity factor of a functionally graded material with two cracks under sudden applied factors on crack faces were presented for various material nonhomogeneity parameters.
