    Abstract

![CDATA[This paper contributes to our understanding of network dynamics by showing how changes in resource bundles and their interactions influence network innovation trajectories. Most of the previous research focuses on innovative contexts within organisations or dyads. This paper considers innovation dynamics at a network level. A fuzzy logic simulation model was run over 12 time periods to explore the changes in network resources and their trajectories. Two trajectories are outlined in this paper: improving innovative capacity and decreasing innovative capacity. The results indicate that the improving trajectory has a greater variation in financial resources and that knowledge resources and the interaction between knowledge resources and other network attributes is important for improvement. The decreasing trajectory highlights that even though financial resources remained fairly stable, the lowering of knowledge resources in the network has the greatest impact.]]
