Abstract
![CDATA[E-business is a new business paradigm, a new concept floating around for some years now. It helps connect stakeholders electronically at any time and anywhere around the world. It is a business in cyberspace providing equal opportunity to everybody who has access to Internet Technology. E-business is one of the catalysts for globalised economic activities which have brought enormous wealth to some countries in the developed world. Some developing countries, for example, India is reaping benefit out of the globalisation. E-Business can create wealth truly and really ignoring the effect of previous hype, but harnessing Internet technology needs careful consideration. Rapid technological change is having a profound influence on how we organise and conduct businesses. More significantly, the Internet makes it possible to transform electronic trading from an expensive and specialised process into a cheap and convenient method for all. Though e-business is highly competitive and dynamic, it also presents the potential for rapid economic growth if we can make business transactions on the Web secured and trustworthy. The purpose of this paper is to provide a snapshot of the recent development of e-business globally, its pros and cons and also its role in creating wealth in new economy.]]
