Abstract

In this paper we ‘work over’ and ‘mull over’ research experiences that did not (immediately) make sense. As feminist researchers, we explore our emotional, embodied reactions to specific moments and experiences arising through our research. Through attending to these moments, we consider what we can learn from our embodied experiences of research, and our responses to this labour: crying, dancing, running, and loving. In drawing together these different experiences, we frame our bodies and emotions as sites of feminist knowledge production, and emphasise the importance of care: for ourselves, and for one another. We unite and connect our individual reflections so that we can restore, celebrate and survive.
