    Abstract

    As a result of the 2003 conflict and ongoing hostiles in Iraq, Iraqi refugees now form the second largest group of refugees under the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) mandate, with 1,785,212 Iraqi refugees recorded worldwide.
