Abstract

It was cozy inside The Red Rattler Theatre, a popular queer activist hub in Sydney’s Inner West, where we settled in for a one-off event called Engorged: Fucking (with) the Maternal. Holly Zwalf, the organizer and MC, was approaching eight months pregnant on the night of the event. Holly is a queer woman, a kinkster, a smutty spoken word artist, and a solo parent by choice with a PhD on leather Mummies; on this night, her stomach was swollen, and her curves stretched tight under a leopard print dress.
