Abstract
The rapid increase in digital banking transactions has significantly heightened cybercrime threats, necessitating robust network security measures in the banking sector. This paper aims to provide a thorough examination of security challenges and offer a comprehensive framework that addresses these concerns effectively. While exploring the critical importance of network security, we acknowledge the multifaceted nature of cyber threats and the continuous need for technological advancements. Our analysis extends beyond current mitigation strategies, such as advanced encryption and multi-factor authentication, to critique their adequacy and propose improvements. We highlight the broader implications of cyber attacks, including financial losses and diminished customer trust. Conclusively, we advocate for a reinforced security framework that demands a synergistic effort from regulatory bodies, financial institutions, and customers, addressing gaps in the current literature and proposing a novel, collaborative approach to bolster the banking sector's defense against cyber threats.
