Abstract
Editorial: We stand on the cusp of a new era, called the 'Anthropocene'. Some date the beginnings of the Anthropocene back to the industrial revolution in the United Kingdom and elsewhere at the end of the 18th century. Others place it alongside the great acceleration that has occured after the end of the World War II, and 1945. What does the Anthropocene mean for the future of human civilisation and what can and should be done with respect to the Anthropocene?
