Abstract
This Article aims to give a systematic and comprehensive review of Chinese environmental policies concerning climate change from a contemporary and holistic view. It first reviews China’s current policies on climate change and sustainable development through China’s Agenda 21, Climate Change White Paper, a series of concrete up-to-date policies related to Five-Year Plans, and its national targets. Practical effects at national, provincial, and local levels are discussed afterward. Finally, major policy shifts are summarized.
