Abstract

Whether confidence in law reform as a vehicle for facilitating progressive change is misplaced - classical, progressive and feminist approaches to law reform - value of and risks associated with law reform - conclusion that, although law reform may never be a sufficient response to inequalities and oppression, it is possible and necessary.
