Abstract

Aboriginal Community Home Fire Safety Visitation Program (ACHFSVP), was funded in the CRIP 2014/15 uses Aboriginal Community Safety Volunteers to conduct a home visit program to provide education, advice and intervention to Aboriginal communities. Each home visited will have at least one working smoke alarm, fire blankets and home fire safety advice and information. Evaluation of the effectiveness of the ACHFSVP is integral to the CRIP funding and project evaluation report is a component to the deliverables. Western Sydney University (WSU) under the Community Resilience Innovation Program Funding Agreement 2014-15 obtained funding to undertake Evaluation of the Aboriginal Home Fire Safety Visitation Program. Evaluation of the ACHFSV for Fire Rescue NSW has been identified to have four separate but linked evaluations. These are evaluation of program householders, evaluation of program control, program field evaluation, and existing data.
