Abstract

The purpose of this evaluation was to support previous Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations' (DEEWR) evaluative measurements. As such, this evaluation assessed the extent to which the NASCA's Sydney-based Sporting Chance Program impacts on adolescents/students' physical activity levels, life skills (including teamwork, leadership, communication, self-esteem and confidence) and engagement in school, as well as key stakeholders' perspectives (highlighted above in goals list). This evaluation concludes with recommendations for improvements to the Sporting Chance Program.
