Abstract
Tactical Tech hosted the second Info-Activism Camp on Evidence and Influence on June 23-29 2013 in Italy, with 135 activists, designers, creative thinkers and hackers from around the world. Together for six full days we explored the art of evidence-based campaigning, inspired new and old projects, and made new, lasting personal connections and collaborations. Over the week at Centro, Tanya Notley and her Micro-magazine team drawn from Camp participants and Tactical Tech staff, documented the work being done by Campers. The first issue of the Evidence & Influence Micro-magazine tells stories about those working on environment rights and justice advocacy using information and digital technologies. We're going to have three more issues out on gender, transparency and protest. The blog will continue to share updates about news from Campers - new projects, work-in-progress and discussions about the practices and process of evidence-based advocacy.
