Abstract
The problem of freedom in itself contains a riddle that emphasizes reason and crisis calls for a complex search, but fruitful. The enigma of liberty contains in itself, according to Luigi Pareyson, positive and negative, good and evil, despair and love. In fact, there is no more original than that which is called upon to choose herself. The contributions on the volume they intend to reflect on the philosophy of Pareyson and on some aspects of the present philosophy that are closer to the perspective in which Pareyson was posed so originally.
