Abstract

![CDATA[In this paper we examined how a semantically enriched query alter- natives improve the score and rank of the search results in Information Retrieval Systems. This enrichment is statistically analysed and presented using TREC data and utilizing Solr full-text search platform. The improvement are measured using scoring functions such as BM25. Mean Average Precision (mAP) measure was used to compare different configurations of search engine using a scheme we designed for this purpose.]]
