Abstract
A letter to the editor is presented in response to the article "Extranodal plasmablastic lymphoma arising in mantle cell lymphoma," in previous issue of Histopathology. In summary, this is the first reported example of PBL occurring in association with MCL. Whereas the two tumour components could be considered a coincidental composite lymphoma, there is evidence of a common clonal link suggesting that the MCL transformed into PBL.
