Abstract
KM3NeT/ARCA is a large-scale underwater Cherenkov neutrino detector, currently under construction at the bottom of the Mediterranean Sea. The detector’s geometry is optimised for the observation of TeV-PeV astrophysical neutrinos. Once completed, the detector will consist of 230 Detection Units (DUs). Each Detection Unit is an 800-meter vertical line that holds 18 Digital Optical Modules (DOMs), each containing 31 photomultiplier tubes. In this contribution we describe the analysis on Extreme High-frequency-peaked BL Lacs (EHBLs) blazars by integrating the theoretical modeling of these blazars, performed with the LeHaMoc numerical code, and in parallel the expectations of neutrinos emitted from these sources in binned likelihood stacking analyses based on KM3NeT/ARCA’s data. We present a detailed analysis of a carefully selected sample of extreme blazars, focusing on their multiwavelength characteristics and high-energy emission mechanisms. This study represents a novel approach in the field, combining detailed modeling of the spectral energy distributions (SEDs) with a stacking sensitivity analysis tailored to this rare class of sources.
