Factors driving retention management in a manufacturing firm of Bangladesh

    Abstract

    ![CDATA[The aim of this study is to explore the effect of some determinants of retention management namely, employee turnover, performance appraisal, voluntary initiative, training, exit interview, and replacement cost in a multinational firm in Bangladesh. The study harnesses reliability test, regression and Pearson‟s correlation for data analysis. Results indicate significant relationship of voluntary initiative, training, exit interview and replacement cost with retention management. The research reveals the importance of voluntary initiative, training, exit interview and replacement cost to retain employees but undermines the significance of employee turnover and performance appraisal. The study emphasizes the significance of training on retention management. Findings suggest that considering these determinants may render firms with effective and efficient practice of retention management. Conceptual, methodological, and practical issues are discussed.]]
