Abstract

This paper describes a 3D finite element model using ABAQUS for the analysis of reinforced concrete (RC) beam to concrete-filled steel tubular (CFST) column joints subjected to cyclic loading. The effects of concrete damage and softening were considered in the ABAQUS modeling. The calculated monotonie and cyclic curves were verified by experimental results. Mechanical mechanisms were analyzed to complete the failure modes and the development of concrete fracture.
