Abstract

![CDATA[The performance of microstrip patch antennas is strongly dependent on the feeding techniques such as coaxial, microstrip line, and proximity coupled feeds. Proximity coupled microstrip patch antennas have been investigated for various applications but research on the positioning and length of the proximity coupled feed is limited. In this paper, the length of the feedline in a proximity coupled microstrip patch antenna was investigated. It is found that the length of the feed line has a direct influence on the resonant frequency and that the antenna resonates at a higher frequency when the length of the feedline is increased.]]
