Food for Thought Feasibility Study: Enhancing Food Donations in Cumberland Council Area

Abstract

The aim of this feasibility study is to assess the potential of increasing food donations to the needy in the Cumberland Council community while at the same time reducing the amount of good quality food from going into landfill. Undertaken by a team from Western Sydney University, the study involved a combination of desk research and field surveys. It is envisioned that the results presented in this report will help Council attain the social and environmental goals of the project.
