    Abstract

The uneven geographic distribution of patients in our study during the Olympic Games suggests the scooter "phenomenon" may not yet have peaked in Sydney. We reinforce the need for an Australian standard for the quality and safe use of foot-propelled scooters and support the wearing of a helmet, and knee and elbow pads, while riding a scooter.
