Lautoka is the second largest city which lies on the western side of Viti Levu and 24 km south of the Nadi International Airport. The second largest island, Vanua Levu, has an area of 5,538 sq. km and north-west of the island is Labasa, its largest and main town. To the south-east of Vanua Levu lies Savusavu, a relatively smaller town, but a popular local and international tourist destination.
