N2 - Sustainability is both a keyword and a series of diverse practices going viral across the museum sector; it is also now central to ICOM's agenda as a lever for enacting better futures. In 2018, I was invited and appointed as a founding member of the Working Group on Sustainability and Climate Change. In 2019 ICOM adopted Agenda 2030 and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals as a centrepiece of its sustainability agenda, and in 2023 established a new International Committee on Museums and Sustainable Development, SUSTAIN, as mentioned in the introductory Editorial to this volume.
