Abstract
In a world marked by climate change crises and business vulnerabilities, the question is no longer whether to act, but how to act and govern effectively for a resilient business and a society of tomorrow. While research on climate governance has grown, it remains fragmented, often concentrating on specific sectors or disconnected theoretical models revealing evident gaps in understanding. Using a hybrid methodological approach, we address this gap and integrate review results from a vast interdisciplinary literature. We propose a definition and four key research themes of climate governance- contextual factors, entrepreneurial strategy, taxonomy and dimensions to develop an integrated framework for future research. We provide a comprehensive perspective of climate governance enabling business leaders better respond to climate crises.
