    Abstract

Ollerton and Shannon [3] have developed “k-extensions” of the generalized binomial coefficients by considering the ways in which m objects can be placed in n cells, each of which holds a maximum of q objects, according to certain rules indicated by the binary variables a, b, c (where 1 = Yes, 0 = No).
