Abstract

We congratulate Jarrin et al. (2018) for their efforts at elucidating the extent of cardiovascular autonomic dysfunction in patients with insomnia with the short‐sleep duration phenotype. To date, this is the largest clinically diagnosed insomnia population studied using heart rate variability (HRV); however, the findings need to be taken with caution as HRV was not assessed over the whole night.
