Abstract

Gravitational waves, also known as gravitational radiation were first predicted in the General Theory of Relativity by A. Einstein. This article explains the principle of gravitational wave detection in brief and tries to give an idea about the existent and passible detectors of gravitational waves. The main aim of this article is to understand the importance of detection of gravitational waves and to give an idea about the excitement behind it. This article explains the concepts by making simple analogies.
