Hardware considerations for diffusion MRI

Research output: Chapter in Book / Conference PaperChapter

    Abstract

This chapter discusses a diffusion experiment with ideal hardware. Nonideal behavior resulting from various causes, including pulsed field gradient induced eddy currents, radiofrequency inhomogeneity, and mechanical vibration, is considered. Correlating image artifacts with nonideal hardware elements is also discussed. Techniques are provided for minimizing or eliminating hardware complications during diffusion MRI experiments.
