Abstract

Tourism is cited as one of the fastest growing and 'sustainable' global industries. As health is central to the notion of sustainability this paper looks at the relationship between health and tourism to assess what benefits so-called sustainable tourism delivers, to whom, and how this relationship might be improved to achieve greater quality of life outcomes.
