Abstract
![CDATA[Variability in dual-task interference during walking is suggested to be related to the complexity of the tasks being performed. Whilst older adults have demonstrated greater dual task interference with complex secondary tasks, the complexity of the walking task has rarely been investigated as a factor in this population. Older adults may display a greater dual task interference effect when performing both a demanding walking task and complex secondary task due to age-related motor and cognitive decline. The aim of this study was to determine the influence of a complex audiospatial task on gait characteristics and dual task performance in young and older adults as the walking task became more demanding.]]
