    Abstract

Guest editorial: 2010 will be remembered as a significant historical year for Australian nurses, demonstrating an increasingly central importance in health reform, reinforced by legislation and community support to practise to their skilled potential. The year will culminate in September, when Australian nurses and midwives will showcase their contribution by hosting the 6th International Nurse Practitioner/Advanced Practice Nursing Network INP/APNN Conference.
