How to produce a more effective memorial or written submission?

Research output: Chapter in Book / Conference PaperChapter

Abstract

This chapter has focused on how to write an effective memorial. It began by discussing how memorials are scored, outlining the four major categories in which marks are awarded: 1) knowledge and use of facts, 2) amount and depth of research, 3) quality of arguments/analysis, and 4) presentation. It also highlighted the importance of competition format on scoring. Remember that your goal will not always be to score more marks than your opponents, but to score the most marks possible to qualify for the advanced rounds of competition. The chapter then discussed how to approach a moot problem, prepare skeleton arguments, and conduct research.
