Abstract

Hydrocoele of the canal of Nuck is a rare condition but should be considered in all adult females presenting with inguinal swelling. Ultrasound is the ideal diagnostic modality and can detail coexisting pathologies. Awareness of the waxing and waning nature of the hydrocoele can assist surgeons in considering a conservative approach.
