Abstract
Stalking, which in Italian can be defined by the term "harassing harassment", is a phenomenon still little known, despite the social alarm about the potential physical and psychological harm faced by those who suffer. The purpose of this paper is to provide a theoretical framework of stalking, making use of the most significant contributions in the international literature. In particular, we will consider the definitions generally used of the phenomenon, the epidemiological data, the possible causes and characteristics of perpetrators and victims. Studying a sample of university students showed that harrassed nagging is a very common experience. In addition, harassment nagging do not seem to consist of more frequent and violent behavior clearly prevaricanti but by repetition, perceived as threatening and detrimental to personal freedom, pipelines commonly considered acceptable. Lines of future research are then proposed.
